I have spent the last several days compiling events for the second half of 2011. At this time, I have over 100 events from 23 US states, 6 countries outside the US and the Internet. These events deal with therapeutic interventions {dietary, animal aided, technology, teaching modalities, etc.}, neurodiversity, support groups, advocacy, conferences and family fun {movies, music, the beach, etc}. This is a preliminary events list. I will be adding more. I request that you also tell me about special needs events that you have found by posting them in the comment section, so that I can add them to the main list.

Reminder: When you use our merchant links to purchase what you need, you are supporting various charities to which Fetch It Fido, LLC will donate a minimum of 10% of profits, further development of this site, and of course, helping me provide for my daughter’s various special needs. If you have shopping to do, which even when money is tight there are things that we still get, please check out our merchants by clicking here or on the “Fido’s Specials” button on the top menu. We are adding more merchants regularly so be sure to bookmark this page. Dear readers, you have shown through your action for the UDS dogs that you are motivated to help others…together we can help so many more. Happy shopping!!!

  1. Jen says:

I work for The Autism Project, located in RI, and I just wanted to thank you for sharing so many of our programs on your calendar! We’re very grateful for your help in getting the word out!

    • admin says:

Jen, You are very welcome! Knowledge is power, and the more opportunities that there are for caregivers to learn about their options (treatment, coping, etc.), the more empowered they will be to facilitate their child having a happy life. Thank you, to The Autism Project for giving families opportunities to learn and grow!

  2. Please post the following on June 24-25 for the Tennessee retreat and on August 5-6 for the Georgia retreat. This is an incredible retreat — I’ve been to every one in Tennessee and will be going again this year. I cannot imagine there is one mom of a special needs child or adult that does not need this. Thank you so much!
